AtomicAAAs Pilot series uses a two-pin (two-axis) system to connect the boot to the binding and provide more freedom and control than traditional one-pin systems. Skate skiing requires increased control underfoot, so the Pilot Sport Skate was designed with a 20% stiffer flex over the Pilot Classic.
